Does the program lead to certification?
Yes, graduates receive initial (provisional) certification upon successful completion of the program and other New York State requirements. Permanent certification is granted after two years of full-time (360 days) post-graduate supervised practice in a school setting.

Clinical hours toward licensure provided within the degree program:

Becoming an NCSP offers many benefits including recognition by some school districts in the form of higher salaries and recognition by other states allowing graduates to seek employment outside of New York State.
