Faculty -Paul Schiller, MSW, CSW
MS in social work (Fordham University), CSW (NY) Social work practice, clinical social work, case management, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, mental health, HIV/AIDS, at-risk youth. Paul Schiller, MSW, BS, is a graduate of the Iona College Social Work Program and student recipient of the Ron Federico Departmental Award for academic and service excellence. Since graduation from Iona College in 1996, he has held several direct practice, supervisory, and administrative positions in agencies in Westchester County and New York City. His career has focused on work with at-risk youth, juvenile justice and community services. Prior to assuming the role of Coordinator of School Based Mental Health Services for Rockland County BOCES Program, he was Director of Home-Based Services at a residential treatment center for children and was responsible for the development and implementation of multi-systemic therapy in Southern New York State. Mr. Schiller teaches Introduction to Social Work (SOW 210) and worked with the Chair of the Social Work Department to develop a three-credit service-learning elective (Camp Viva Intensive Service Experience - SOW 204). As Volunteer Coordinator, Mr. Schiller recruits, trains, coordinates, and supervises a staff of over 50 volunteers who, every August, provide a week-long residential camp for families and children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
