Marcus Aldredge

Marcus Aldredge, PhD is a visiting assistant professor at Iona College. His areas of scholarly interest include the sociology of culture, social interactionism, community and everyday life, and urban ethnography. His recent research has focused primarily on expressive cultural practices in New York City, including his dissertation which was ethnographic study of "open mic" musicians. Professor Aldredge belongs to multiple professional organizations such as the American Sociological Association and the Society for the Study of Symbolic Interaction. He is currently refining a few papers from his dissertation research.
