Students will participate in funded summer research program between first and second year. Students have the option to continue through the summer and will return in the fall to receive research credit for continued work in their lab for the remainder of undergraduate years with a Iona College faculty member, or move to research internship at a government lab, an industrial research lab, a traditional summer research program at other academic institutions. In preparation for intensive research students will take a freshman spring Seminar on Scientific Inquiry and Introduction to Scientific Research.
