Teaches courses in Internet Applications Development, Client/Server and 4GL. Research interests include investment strategies and visual basic applications development. Installed numerous local area networks ,configured hardware and software systems and is responsible for maintaining the department's computer network in Hagan Hall.

Teaches courses in Production and Operations Management. Has experience in general management of many Operations Management functions. Research interests include improvement of the interface of Technical Research with Operations Management functions.



Kurt J. Engemann Kurt J. Engemann (PhD, New York University, Operations Research)

Teaches courses in Decision Support Systems, Systems Analysis and Design, Applied Statistics and Global Information Systems. His research and consulting concentrates on the development of information systems and models to support business executives. He has authored several papers which have appeared in prestigious publications.

Teaches courses in Audit and Control of Computer Systems, Data Base Management, Corporate Planning Models and Management Information Systems. Research and consulting interests include the development of financial planning and analysis systems, electronic monitoring and privacy issues, computer auditing and IT architecture strategy. Dr. Moscato has thirty years of experience in information systems and related areas and has published throughout that period. He is the moderator of the Management Information Systems Club.

Robert J. Richardson (PhD, University of Pittsburgh, Systems Management and Operations Research)

Teaches courses in Telecommunications, Marketing Models and Total Quality Management. He brings twenty years of corporate experience that included the development of data analysis and information systems to support marketing, sales, finance, R&D and operations. His research interests include pricing evaluation systems, bidding systems, scheduling systems and territory realignment analysis. He has an impressive array of research activity. He is coordinator of the department's internship program.

Ronald R. Yager (PhD, Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, Systems Sciences)

Teaches courses in Expert Systems for Business and Database Management. He is director of the Machine Intelligence Institute of Iona College. Has served on the National Science Foundation as director of the Information Systems Program. An internationally acclaimed scholar, he serves as editor of international journals and has written several books and has over one hundred articles in the areas of the management of uncertainty, theories of knowledge representation, fuzzy sets, and possibility theory. Among his current research interests is the development of intelligent agents for use on the Internet.

Associate Professor of Information Systems.
Teaches courses in Telecommunications, Networks and Database Management. Research interests include networks and database management. He is the faculty moderator for the IS student organization. He was formerly a Director of MIS for an organization.

Teaches courses in Information Systems. overall research interests involve the uses of technology to acquire, deliver and make predictions in a variety of Business-related environments. These interests further branch into computer mediated communications, design science, human computer interfaces, machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, technology acceptance models and textual data mining.

Shoshana S. AltschullerShoshana S. Altschuller (PhD, CUNY/Baruch College, Information Systems)

Teaches courses in Management Information Systems and E-Commerce Strategy. Her main research interests relate to the media characteristics of computer-mediated communication systems, the interactions within and management of virtual teams, and the nature of trust within virtual environments. Her other research interests include E-Commerce and Information Systems Ethics. She also has experience in systems development in the financial industry.
