Internships

NB: Business Administration majors, who are pursuing an interdisciplinary program, must choose the department that they are most interested in (Finance, Marketing, Management or Info Systems) and follow the rules for the internship course of that department.

Senior Management majors are encouraged to participate in the Management Internship Program, which places qualified students in management positions at business or nonprofit organizations for one semester or the summer term. Recent placements have included Viacom, UBS, MTV Networks, AXA Equitable, and Prudential.

For the Management Internship course (MNG465), students carry out a work project under the direct supervision of a faculty advisor and company executive. The internship is intended to allow students to acquire work experience in an area of management, and to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained from management courses to actual management problems and situations. MNG465 may be used as a management elective or business elective.

Students wishing to complete a management internship for course credit must fill out and submit this form with required documentation by the end of the advisement period preceding the internship.

Course requirements for this 3 credit elective are described here.
