MBA Health Care Management Concentration

Description

Iona College's MBA in Health Care Management is intended to educate, refine and train health care professionals, as well as those who wish to enter the field or expand their knowledge and understanding of this rapidly developing industry. It provides an understanding of the health care sector from a range of disciplinary perspectives, with an emphasis on the needs of health care consumers, the business needs of health care providers and the underlying values of our society. The program uses innovative and practical applications and seasoned health care practitioners as faculty to provide students with the skills necessary to excel in the health care industry.

Advanced Certificate in Health Care Management

The certificate can also be included as a 5 course concentration in the Iona College MBA program.

Advanced Certificate in Long-Term Care Management

The Advanced Certificate in Long-Term Care Management provides exposure to the broad spectrum of long-term care services that extend from sub-acute units, nursing home facilities, home care, assisted living residences, independent living housing and various models of continuing care retirement communities. The 15 credit certificate uses innovative and practical applications and practicing long-term care administrators as faculty to provide students with the specialty skills necessary to manage this growing sector of the health care industry. The certificate can be included as a 5 course concentration in the Iona College MBA program. The program is also approved by the New York State Bureau of Professional Credentialing to meet the educational component for nursing home administrator licensure in New York State.
