Upsilon Phi Delta (UPD) is a national academic honor society for students in healthcare administration. The name is derived from the Greek words for health, care and administration (or leadership). The founders feel that Health is the objective of all our work; that Caring is an essential trait of all people in health care, and that Leadership is an essential trait of those who would lead and manage our health care systems. UPD membership is available to academically qualified members of the Iona College MBA in Healthcare Administration program, and the induction ceremony is typically held once a year in the Spring.
