This certificate is designed for post Master's/MBA students who wish to qualify for licensure as a CPA but need additional accounting credits to be eligible under New York State requirements.

Applicants must have successfully completed courses that satisfy undergraduate degree requirements in accounting.

Required Courses for the Certificate

• ACC 650 Special Topics in Accounting
• ACC 655 Research in Accounting
• ACC 660 Advanced Auditing Theory and Practice
• ACC 665 Accounting Systems and Fraud Examination
• Elective(s) One course or additional courses needed to complete CPA Exam requirements determined in consultation with academic advisor

Students who did NOT major in accounting as undergraduates will need to take additional coursework to comply with New York State mandated prerequisites.
