Can Green Mean Go for Business?

Scholars gathered on Iona's campus July 20-21 for the 2007 Hagan, IBEC and CIBER Summer Symposium to delve into The Environment: International Business and Education Issues. IBEC is the International Business & Economy Conference, and CIBER is the Center for International Business Education and Research at the University of Connecticut.

Co-chaired by Dean Vincent Calluzzo, PhD, and Jay Kang, PhD, of San Francisco State University, the conference featured presentations about “Green Marketing, Green Consumers, Green Campuses,” by Fredrica Rudell, PhD, Marketing; “Metrics for Measuring Environmental and Sustainability Performance – Latest Developments in the Financial and Higher Education Sectors,” by John Cusack, Finance; “The Performance of American Brands in an Era of Anti-Americanism,” by Hugh McCabe, Marketing and International Business; and “Globalization and the Environment,” by Anand Shetty, PhD, Finance, among others. Dr. Shetty and John Manley, PhD, Finance, organized the event.
