A. The completed application, two letters of recommendation, all undergraduate and graduate transcripts, the $50 application fee, and official Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores. International students – TOEFL, WES and cash support affidavit.
A. The GMAT is waived if you have a previous Master’s degree, CPA, J.D., or M.D. You may also qualify for a GMAT waiver if you have significant business experience; and your bachelors degree is older than seven years; and you have been working steadily and progressively since earning your bachelors (see graduate catalog p. 23). If your GPA is a 3.0 or above, you can be admitted into the program without the GMAT but must submit the GMAT before the completion of your first term.
A. Public Accounting, General Accounting, Health Care Management, Marketing, Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Information Systems.. We also offer certificate programsin each concentration area as well as in International Business, Business Continuity and Risk Management, Infrastructure Management, Long Term Care Administration, Sports and Entertainment Business, and e-Commerce. Both certificate programs can be completed within the MBA degree requirements. (they do not require any additional classes)
A. From 33-57. There are 24 credits that can be waived based upon recent undergraduate study. The waivers reduce the credit load. A grade of B or better in an undergraduate equivalent course(s) can grant a MBA waiver. The classes must be 7 years old or less.
A. 9-7 Monday – Thursday and 9-5 Friday.
A. No. Admission to the MBA program is done on a rolling basis.
A. No. Many students do have considerable work experience; however, it is not a prerequisite for admission.
A. Yes. Attend one of our open houses.
A. In addition to the eight core classes that can be waived based on undergraduate or graduate credit, one or two classes may be accepted as transfer credit at the discretion of the Director of the Program. All students must complete a minimum of 33 credit hours within the MBA Program to have a degree conferred at Iona.
A. No. However, we do offer approximately four or five distance learning courses per trimester.
