Other Programs Offered For Study Abroad

For Undergraduate Students:

Iona also encourages students to take advantage of the many programs available in virtually every country around the globe.

Working with the Director of Study Abroad, students can plan individual programs of study for an academic year or a semester in such places as England, South America, China, and other sites abroad. Most study abroad courses are readily transferred to Iona.

Various academic departments from time to time offer opportunities for study abroad in specific disciplines. For example, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of James Joyce's Ulysses in 2004, the English Department conducted a Bloomsday course in Dublin, with hands-on experience of the places described in the Joyce's novel. The program was offered jointly with Iona's graduate departments of Healthcare Administration and Finance.

 For Graduate Students:
Several graduate programs also offer study abroad opportunities.
