During a twelve-week semester extending from January into April, students take a full program of fifteen credits at the Marino Institute of Education - Trinity College Institute of Education (MIE - Trinity College ) in Dublin, Ireland. Students choose five (six with permission) courses from:
Courses can be taken for core, elective, or major credit.

The Marino Institute of Education - Trinity College Institute, like Iona itself, was founded by the Congregation of Christian Brothers and is an associated College of Trinity College, Dublin. It offers comfortable, modern facilities in an attractive suburban setting only fifteen minutes by bus from central Dublin. |

Students take Iona courses taught by an Irish faculty that is approved and hired by Iona College.
The six courses, which include a course in Irish History as well as a course in Irish Literature, are designed to fulfill both core and major requirements, and visiting students usually find that the courses transfer to their academic programs at their home institutions.
Courses are taught Monday through Thursday, leaving the weekends for individual travel. As an integral part of the program, there are guided field trips on two weekends as well as several one day trips. Often included is a night at the world famous Abbey Theater.
Iona offers the Dublin program at a price which is the same as the cost of one semester of study in New Rochelle, plus room and board. Airfare is an additional cost.
Since the program ends in early April, there is ample time for students to take advantage of the proximity to other European countries and travel throughout these countries on their own.
