Summer Program in London, England

 

Summer Session 2: End of May - End of June

Iona in England is a program offering three weeks of study in London. Students select two courses from:

  • BUS 410 LO - The Role of Business in Contemporary American Society
  • ENG 204 LO - Literature of the Modern World
  • ENG 301 LO - Shakespeare: Comedy and History
  • ENG 470 LO - Literary London
  • FPA 490 LO - The Restoration Theatre in England,1660-1710

Courses can be taken for elective, major, or minor credit, and they are taught by Iona faculty members who travel to London with the students.

Students receive a total of 6 credits while studying and touring in the beautiful city of London. Classes are taught Monday through Thursday allowing students the opportunity to travel independently on the weekends.

Students reside in attractive facilities in London and participate in excursions to museums, monuments, and other noteworthy sites including the Globe Theatre, Westminster Abbey, Parliament, the Tower of London, Stonehenge, etc.

In order to participate in the London program, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 by the end of the fall semester. Students on disciplinary probation at the time of departure will not be permitted to participate in this program.
