The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at Iona College, is an academic enrichment program, designed to provide academic support during the undergraduate years to underrepresented minority OR economically disadvantaged students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), health-related fields and the licensed professions.

*** Applicants MUST be New York State Residents.
*** Applicants must be full-time matriculated Iona students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Students must major in one of the following:

• Accounting
• Biology
• Biochemistry
• Chemistry
• Computer Science
• Criminal Justice
• Education (Math/Science Teacher Education)
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Political Science/Pre-Law
• Psychology
• Social Work
• Sociology
• Speech-Language Pathology

• Tutoring in CSTEP Office
• CSTEP monthly luncheon
• Career preparedness events
• Kaplan preparatory classes for GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, DAT, OAT and PCAT
• Assistance with graduate and professional schools admission applications
• Academic Advisement
• A pre-freshman summer academic experience
• Participation in the College's Annual Undergraduate Research Day
• Monthly talks by scientists and professionals in the different areas of science in the Careers in Science (CSI) Program
• Graduate and professional school visits
• CSTEP Statewide Conference
