Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP)
The mission of GEAR UP is to significantly increase the number of pre-collegiate low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. This goal is achieved through academic enhancement, cultural enrichment, social awareness, and parental involvement.
Liberty Partnership Program
The Liberty Partnerships Program provides leadership and resources to ensure that secondary school students will achieve academic and personal excellence, graduate from high school, and enter post-secondary education and the workforce as highly competent young adults.
Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP)
The Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) enhances the math, science and technology skills of minority and low-income regional high school students. Its goal is to encourage participating students to continue their education after graduation in the fields of mathematics, science, technology and/or the licensed professions where minorities are traditionally underrepresented.
21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC)
21st Century Community Learning Centers provides expanded academic enrichment opportunities for students at tending low-performing schools. Tutorial services and academic enrichment activities are designed to help students meet local and state academic standards in subjects such as reading and math. In addition 21st CCLC programs provide youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, technology education programs, art, music and recreation programs, counseling and character education to enhance the academic component of the program.
