Qualified Iona Students work as peer tutors in the Center. The tutors are competent in their course material and are specially trained to guide students in becoming independent learners. They are selected on the basis of their academic record, faculty recommendation, personal interviews, and performance during a probationary period. Tutors recieve additional training each semester in workshops conducted by professionals.
