Academic Federal Credit Union Website

You can download a Credit Union Application from the Academic Federal Credit Union Website and choosing the 'Applications Link' under the 'About Us' section - or - pick up a Credit Union Application in the Human Resources office. The application along with a check made payable to AFCU for $25 can be sent to the Credit Union:

A minimum balance of $20 must be maintained to keep the account open and there is a one-time fee of $5 to open your account.

The Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution that provides the same services as a bank. All the money earned is given back to members as dividend at the end of each month or quarter.

The Credit Union was chartered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) on June 15, 1979 as the Pace University Federal Credit Union. On August 12, 1981, the NCUA approved an amendment to the Bylaws changing the name to the Academic Federal Credit Union as the College of New Rochelle became affiliated with the Credit Union. The NCUA is the agency of the Federal Government, which regulates all Federal Credit Unions and insures all accounts in the Credit Union up to $100,000.
