Life Insurance
All full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Iona College Group Life Insurance plan the first of the month after their date of hire. During a recent audit of our benefit files, it was discovered that although you were eligible to participate in the Iona College life insurance plan, you did not enroll. While there is no open enrollment period for life insurance, you may be able to join the plan, subject to providing evidence of insurability.
An employee is covered for twice (2x) his/her annual salary rounded up to the nearest thousand. This benefit includes Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance. The College pays for 75% of the monthly insurance cost and the employee pays 25% of the cost. Examples of Coverage:
