Instructors in DL courses are required to verify that the identities of students participating in the course match the identities of students registered for the course.

Images of registered students appear on class rosters in Peoplesoft. Visual verification can be made in-person, during an online class meeting via the Wimba functionality in Blackboard, or during individual or small group sessions using Wimba, or web conferencing applications such as Skype.

To view student photos in Peoplesoft:

• Sign-in to Peoplesoft
• Click Self Service
• Click Faculty Center
• Once in Faculty Center, click on the Class Roster image for a specific course.
• In the photo column, click on the image for a specific student to view their photo.
• To view/print the photos of all the students in the class, click on View All in the solid bar above the student's photo and information.

Skype is a free program on the web. Both parties in a Skype session -- Instructor and Student -- need Skype accounts and the Skype program installed on their computers. Visit the Skype webite for links and instructions for downloading and installing Skype.
