Summer Sessions

Visiting Students
Visiting students must complete the Summer Sessions Registration Form and mail, fax or deliver it to the Office of Admissions/Summer Sessions on the first floor of McSpedon Hall. On-line registration is not possible even if you previously attended Iona. A transcript must accompany the registration form. Registration forms received without a transcript will not be processes. Send the form (or a copy) and transcript with payment for tuition and charges (credit card information or check payable to Iona College) to: Iona College Confirmation of registration and other pertinent information will be mailed to you. We must receive your mailed or faxed registration form for Summer Sessions no later than Monday, May 19 for Session I and Monday, June 30 for Session II. Transferring Credit Students who wish to apply Iona credit toward requirements at their home institution should obtain prior approval from the appropriate person at that institution. Iona cannot be responsible for non-transfer of summer credits. Visiting Students Summer Session Transcripts Transcripts are available from the Office of the Registrar located on the second floor of McSpedon Hall. Students must complete the transcript request form, which is available in the Office of the Registrar, and pay a fee of $3 per transcript. Federal law requires a student’s signature for the release of any transcript. Admission to Matriculated Status Visiting students who would like to be admitted to a degree program at Iona College should contact the Office of Admissions at (914) 633-2502. Successful completion of a course during Summer Sessions does not guarantee admission to the College on a matriculated basis. Students who have been dismissed from Iona College are not permitted to take Summer Sessions courses. Course Enrollment for Different Populations Students enrolled in Iona’s undergraduate day programs and returning adults enrolled in Iona’s Professional Studies Program, as well as all Visiting Students may enroll in any of the courses offered in the summer sessions. Students should obtain their advisor’s approval before substituting core or major requirements with courses outside their regular program. Auditing a course Students who wish to audit a course will be charged for one credit. Audits are allowed for lecture liberal arts courses only. Permission to audit a course is required from the Dean’s Office. Audits are only permitted for courses that do not require laboratories. Parking Permits Parking Permits can be obtained through the Office of Campus Safety and Security located in the Robert V. LaPenta Student Union, room 207.
