Admissions Requirements

Applying is easy!

Applying to Iona's Evening/Weekend Program takes Four Easy Steps:

Step 1

Fill out and submit the Undergraduate Evening/Weekend Student application with the $25 application fee.

Step 2

Meet with an Admissions Counselor. Call (914) 633-2622 to schedule an appointment. Bring student copies of transcripts from any other schools you have attended. During the interview, an Admissions Counselor will ask about your job experience and your desire to learn, as well as your academic history.

Step 3

Arrange for official transcripts to be mailed to:

Step 4

Make payment arrangements with the Office of Student Financial Services.

Minimum Requirements for admission to Evening/Weekend Programs:

  • 2.0 overall grade point average (GPA), with 24 transferable credits from previous college coursework from an accredited school.
  • If no previous college work, an overall GPA of 2.5 (75% or C+) from graduating high school.
  • If you took the GED, you must have scored at least 250 points overall.
  • Those interested in taking courses for personal enrichment instead of a degree program may be admitted under a non-matriculating status.
  • All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an independent evaluator such as the World Education Service.

Please note: Admission to Evening/Weekend Programs does not mean acceptance to all majors at the College. Acceptance in majors such as Computer Science, General Business Administration, and Accounting are governed by special criteria.
