The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Business Management at Central College seeks applications for a tenure-track position in business economics at the assistant professor level beginning in Fall 2008. A Ph.D. in economics or related field is preferred, although outstanding ABD applicants will be considered. The successful applicant will teach introductory and upper-level economics classes, quantitative methods, and business operations management. The economics curriculum is fully integrated with the Business Management, Political Science and Environmental Studies programs, and its faculty engages in cross-disciplinary activities with numerous other departments. The normal course load is 21-23 semester hours per year. Applicants should be committed to undergraduate teaching, and have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the liberal arts environment. The California Maritime Academy invites applications for a full-time tenure-track open-rank position in Economics.

The BS Program in Business Administration prepares students for careers in the global maritime industry concentrating in logistics and international business. The Department of Political Science, Economics, and Philosophy at the College of Staten Island, a senior college of the City University of New York, seeks candidates for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Economics, beginning September 2008. We are interested in candidates who specialize in either macroeconomics and monetary economics, or health economics. Candidates must have their Ph.D. in hand by June 30, 2008, and must demonstrate the capacity for high-quality research and effective teaching. The candidate will have the opportunity to use the supercomputer located on the CSI campus and the New York Census Research Data Center located at Baruch College. Course responsibilities will include principles, intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics, and introductory statistics, in addition to upper-level courses in the candidate’s field(s) of specialization. Tenure-Track Position, Oxford College of Emory University
