Jeffrey W. Alstete

Jeffrey W. Alstete is Associate Professor of Management and Business Administration in the Hagan School of Business at Iona College, New Rochelle, New York. He is the author of four books and various journal articles related to higher education and business education. Dr. Alstete teaches courses in Business Policy and Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Managerial Decision Making, International Management, Benchmarking, Competitive Intelligence, and Knowledge Management. His consulting and areas of research interest include benchmarking, business strategy, decision making, entrepreneurship, faculty development, accreditation, organizational development and change. Dr. Alstete earned a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Seton Hall University, and holds an MBA in Financial Management and an MS in Computer Science from Iona College, as well as a BS in Business Administration from St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Dr. Alstete was also the Associate Dean in the Hagan School for nine years, and prior to that he was Director of Continuing Education at St. Thomas Aquinas. As an administrator, he created a variety of degree and non-credit training programs on and off-campus for area corporations and health service providers. Other positions he has held include Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs at the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, and Senior Tax Analyst at Property Evaluation Services, a commercial real estate consulting firm.
