WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - MAAC FIGHTS BACK - YOUNG SURVIVAL COALITION - FEBRUARY 19, 2007

In conjunction with its contest against Loyola on Feb. 19, 2007, the women’s basketball team participated in the annual "MAAC Fights Back" effort intended to raise money for breast cancer research. Players and coaches sported the symbolic pink ribbon throughout the evening’s event. Members of the Iona College Volleyball team were also on hand and distributed information pertaining to the disease and collected donations from those willing to contribute to the cause. In addition, t-shirts were distributed over the course of the evening.

The Iona College Athletic Department and, in particular, the Women’s Basketball program, would like to thank all those who came for their support.

The Young Survival Coalition is an international network of breast cancer survivors and supports dedicated to the concerns and issues unique to young women and breast cancer.
