WOMEN FINISH SEVENTH IN THE NATION ON THE ALL AMERICAN ACADEMIC TEAM LIST
The College Swim Coaches Association of America announced Friday its All-American Academic Team list and the Iona College Women's Swimming and Diving team finished seventh in the nation of Division I schools with a cumulative GPA 3.44. |

CSCAA ANNOUNCES ACADEMIC ALL AMERICAN TEAMS
The College Swim Coaches Association of America announced Friday its All American Academic Teams for the fall semester of 2006, Iona Men's Swimming and Diving team finished 35th overall in the nation of Division 1 schools with a cumulative GPA of 3.03. |

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TOPS MAAC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
Iona College led all schools with nine members being named to the 2006-07 MAAC All-Academic Team. Niagara University placed six, followed by Marist and Siena (5), Canisius, Fairfield, and Manhattan (4), Saint Peter's (3), Loyola and Rider (1). |

GAELS PRODUCE 3.17 GPA DURING FALL SEMESTER
The Iona College Athletic Department is proud to announce that its student-athletes produced their best fall semester academic performance to date. The Gaels achieved a 3.17 average GPA in the fall of 2006, a 0.08 improvement from the previous spring. |

MAAC ANNOUNCES 2007 MEN’S SWIMMING AND DIVING ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
A total of 31 athletes comprise the 2007 MAAC Men’s Swimming and Diving All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. |

3.0 GPA STUDENT-ATHLETES HONORED AT MARIST GAME
At its men's basketball game vs. Marist on Feb. 11, the Iona College Athletic Department honored its student-athletes that achieved GPAs of 3.00 and higher. Over 50 percent of the 400-strong student-athlete body met or exceeded this mark. Last year, Iona placed 118 student-athletes - the second most in the conference — on the New York Lottery MAAC Academic Honor Roll. |
