Student Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.)

S.A.A.C - KATRINA RELIEF EFFORT - SEPTEMBER 10, 2005

Numerous Iona College Student-Athletes attended the Gaels’ first home football game of the season vs. Wagner in order to support the home team, and raise money for the Hurricane Katrina relief fund.

During the game student-athletes went around the stadium to fans viewing the game and asked them to donate available funds. With their efforts along with ticket sales during the game, the athletic department was able to raise over one thousand dollars for those in need.
