On November 11, 2004, the Iona College Women’s Lacrosse
team participated in their first Midnight Run, one of their many community
service initiatives of the year.
As a team, they met at the Center for Campus Ministry, where they prepared
sandwiches, soup and hot chocolate to be served to the needy. In addition
the team sorted through donated clothes and blankets, which were also given
out to the less fortunate on the midnight run.
Throughout the evening, the team, handed out food and clothing at numerous
locations in Manhattan. This service project was a success and provided
the Lacrosse team with the opportunity to help those most in need.
