Kenny Dolan Run
Iona College A large crowd gathered to cheer on over 440 participants at the 18th Annual Kenneth Dolan 5K Memorial Run at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on Sunday June 3, 2007. James and Ann Dolan, Iona President James A. Liguori, CFC, and scholarship recipient Delia McNichola and McNicholas’ parents were among those in attendance to show their support for the runners. Among the participants were alumni, faculty, students, and friends of Iona, as well friends and family of the beloved Dolan family. Upon reaching the “finish line” everyone headed over to Bishop Ford High School for a wonderful BBQ, music, and children’s activities.

About the Event Kenny Dolan was alive for a brief 23 years. Yet in that time, he not only brought a tremendous amount of joy to a great number of people, but, more importantly, he taught them how to laugh, love and have fun. Tragically, on March 14, 1990 Kenny passed away as a result of an automobile accident. The Kenny Dolan Memorial Fund at Iona College has been established from this race to assist a student in need of financial support for his or her education. It is in this spirit that Kenny is remembered. Join us for a day of friendly competition as we race to raise funds.
