The completion added two new wings featuring state-of-the-art technology, seminar rooms and classroom space for our Iona students. This formal dedication gave many generous supporters (350 benefactors and members of the Iona community present) the opportunity to finally experience the space in its finished form.
The $14 million library renovation, funded by private donors and grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Kresge Foundation and Booth Ferris Foundation among others, was the final component to Iona College's master plan to improve and update its infrastructure.
The 63,800 square-foot, three-story library is now close to 15,800 square-feet larger than the previous library and equipped with technologically-advanced facilities to better serve Iona's students and alumni.
