Beyond the Walls: Producing & Posting On-line Videos to Supplement Course Learning

This project seeks to craft a best-practices model for producing and posting supplemental course video material on-line. While much of the discussion regarding on-line video has focused on the use of filmed lectures (or 'course-casting') this proposal focuses on the creation and posting of supplemental course material. As opposed to traditional lecture material (i.e. videotaping and posting material that is already available in the classroom) the supplemental material under consideration in this project would only be available to students via the internet (ex. an interview with an expert in the field who due to cost and other constraints may not be able to visit the classroom in person).
