Q: May I allow people not enrolled in my course or not from Iona to have access to my Blackboard course?

Yes.

To allow access to your Blackboard course by individuals other than officially enrolled students, Guest Access must be turned on.

Please note, you should use discretion in posting sensitive information when activating Guest Access for the course is now easily accessible to the world.

Guest Access must be activated in three different areas of a course:

1. Turn on Guest Access for your entire course:
* In the course Control Panel, click Settings.
* Click Guest Access.
* Click the Yes radio button.
* Click Submit at the bottom right.

2. Turn on Guest Access for a general area of your course:
* In the course Control Panel, click Manage Tools.
* Click Tool Availability.
* Check Allow Guest for each area you wish to make available to guests
* Click Submit at the bottom right.

3. Turn on Guest Access for specific areas within a general area:
* In the course Control Panel, click Manage Course Menu
* Click Modify, at the right of the content area you wish to make available for guests
* Check the box for Allow Guest Access
* Click Submit at the bottom right.
