Each year, a Presidential Teaching Scholar will be named, selected from among the most accomplished teachers on the faculty. The Presidential Teaching Scholar will be awarded a stipend of $3000 per semester, for one academic year, for a total of $6000. The Faculty Advisory Committee will seek nominations for the Presidential Teaching Scholar Award and make recommendations to the Provost for approval.

$1,500 will be awarded to each faculty member whose project’s primary purpose is the enhancement of learning and teaching, i.e., leads to specific improvements in teaching effectiveness that will have an impact on student learning. A maximum of four faculty members will be given this award. Those interested are asked to submit a formal proposal outlining how they will accomplish this goal. The Faculty Advisory Committee will seek proposals for the awards and make recommendations to the Provost for approval.

$1500 will be awarded to each faculty member whose project’s primary purpose is the integration of computer technology in teaching. A maximum of two faculty members will be given this award. Those interested are asked to submit a formal proposal outlining how they will accomplish this goal. Information Technology will seek proposals for the awards and make recommendations to the deans for approval.
