$6,000 will be awarded:
Each
year, a Presidential Teaching Scholar will
be named, selected from among the most accomplished teachers on the faculty. The Presidential Teaching Scholar will be awarded a stipend of $3000 per semester, for one academic year, for a total of $6000. The Faculty Advisory Committee will seek nominations for the Presidential Teaching Scholar Award and make recommendations to the Provost for approval.

For projects whose primary purpose is the enhancement of learning and teaching, i.e., leads to specific improvements in teaching effectiveness that will have an impact on student learning. A maximum of three awards will be given. Those interested are asked to submit a formal proposal outlining how they will accomplish this goal.
