CELTIC Awards Eligibility and Procedures

The Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching at Iona College works with the faculty to promote the innovative and effective use of educational technologies and to solve problems with information and media. CELTIC is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2012 Grants and Awards:

CELTIC Excellence in Teaching Awards (CETA) Three awards-- $3000 each

Faculty Instructional Technology Awards (FITA) Two awards -- $3000 each

Procedure for Submission:

All applicants must submit their proposal in a Microsoft WORD or Adobe pdf document, by email to Tony Iodice manager, CELTIC The proposal must include the applicant's name, title, department, phone number and email address.  In addition, the proposal must contain

  • a short abstract (250 words or less) of what is being proposed
  • a narrative that develops the proposal
  • a list of the specific ways in which the proposal relates to and improves teaching and learning.

The deadline for all applications is March 19, 2012.  Announcement of the awards will be made by April 15, 2011via e-mail.
