Text Navigation Tools
Once you have opened a text page, you may proceed
to the prior or following text frames by clicking on the arrows below
the text.
When you click on any Latin word in the text, its definition
will appear in a Glossary box that opens below the text frame.
Parsing
information may be accessed in two ways: (1) you may place your cursor
over the inflected Latin word and the information will appear in the
location box at the foot of your screen, (2) you may click on the
Parsing icon (described below), which will replace the Glossary box with a Parsing box
in the frame below the text.
You will find the following navigation tools on the right side of each text frame you choose. Clicking on these will enable you to access the translation aids described below.
| Icon | Function |
| This icon takes you to a commentary for that portion of the text which appears in the frame. It provides information helpful to your translation and understanding of the text which is not to be found in the Glossary or Parsing. | |
| This icon opens a scroll window in the bottom frame. There you may either click on the line number you want to access or scroll down to the specific word you want identified. Note that the Parsing information is specific to the text frame you are in. | |
![]() | This jump box enables you to move directly to another text frame within the text selection you have made. Click on the arrow, scroll to the lines you want, then click "GO". |
![]() | This icon opens a small window in the upper left corner of your screen. In it appears a Magister or Magistra, who will make helpful observations or ask you questions about the text you are reading. Click on the icon in each text frame and answer his/her questions before going to the next frame. |
