Collections

The books, periodicals, and reference materials at the Rockland Graduate Campus are supplemented by a reserve collection of books and articles selected by the faculty and tailored to the courses currently in session.

Research Resources and Services

Borrowing Books and other Materials: Books in the Iona College collections can be found in our web-based online catalog., Most Rockland Library books can be checked out for four weeks with your College I.D. Bring your I.D., with the books you want to borrow, to a Librarian for processing.

Materials from the New Rochelle libraries can be obtained by submitting an electronic request form. Use the book request form for delivery from New Rochelle. You will be notified by the library regarding pickup.

Articles: Students and Faculty can search over 80 research databases available on and off campus (many with full-text of articles). Use the Journal Title list to determine if Iona has print or electronic access to a journal. To retrieve an article from a print journal located in New Rochelle, use the article request form.

Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery: Books, articles, and other materials not in any of Iona's libraries or electronic resources can be ordered from other libraries. Visit the Libraries' Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery page for more information and ordering forms. You will be notified by e-mail when the materials have arrived at the Blue Hill Library.

Reference & Internet: Reference and research material may also be found on the Internet. The Reference & Internet Resources section of the Library Website will connect you to high-quality, reliable search engines and directories appropriate for your topic.

E-mail Reference Assistance: The Libraries in New Rochelle have a staff of reference librarians who can give you advice on how to proceed with your research. Please use the Ask a Librarian form and we'll respond as quickly as possible.
