DATABASE OF THE WEEK: CQ RESEARCHER
This is a GREAT resource for current issues in the news, including controversial topics. CQ Researcher is actually a magazine with a difference. Each issue is devoted to a single topic! Recent examples include: Gun Violence, Abortion Showdowns, The New Environmentalism, and Stem Cell Research. This resource is searchable by keyword(s) and browsable by topic and date.
Sections include: Overview, Background, Current Situation, Outlook, Special Focus, Chronology, Pro/Con, Bibliography, Next Step, Contacts, and Footnotes.
