Academic Search Elite

Let's look at one of the general online periodical indexes, our most popular one in fact, Academic Search Elite from EBSCO.

What's cool about Academic Search Elite?

It covers a wide variety of topics, from the arts to the sciences, humanities and social sciences.
It's very up-to-date, so it's a great place to look for current information on a topic.
It includes a lot of full text... we'll talk more about what this means in a bit.
It tells you what journals we own in Ryan, Arrigoni, and Rockland Libraries. So if you can't get an article directly from Academic Search Elite, you can tell whether the library has it or not and in fact will give you the full-text article from another database if available. Very convenient!
If you are a student (or faculty/staff member) at Iona College, you have access to Academic Search Elite, as well as most of our online resources, over the internet from anywhere in the world.

How do I access it?

From the library's home page, follow these steps:

Click on "Find article."
Click on the "EBSCO" Quick Search: line above the box Databases by subject.
