Standing in line at the post office:

Bryan: Hey, Sara, what's up?
Sara: Not much, just finished some work in the library on that psych paper.
Bryan: I worked on mine this weekend, found some books in the online catalog... but I couldn't find any journal articles. I must be doing something wrong.
Sara: Well, wait a minute! You can't find journal articles in the online catalog. You gotta look in an article research database.
Bryan: Oh.
Sara: And anyway, when you can't find what you're looking for, you're supposed to ask the librarian.

Questions to consider:

  • What was Bryan's problem? Why couldn't he find journal articles in the online catalog?
  • What resource did Bryan forget to take advantage of when he got frustrated using the library?
