BA in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics of Iona College offers an undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics. This program is designed to help students devlop their logic, analytic, problem-solving and generalization skills so that they are prepared to meet the diverse quantitative needs of modern society. Graduates of this program are equipped to either continue their study of mathematics at the graduate level or to apply the skills they have developed in other fields such as education, computer science, finance and epidemiology. Majors in this program take courses in calculus, analysis, probability, statistics, algebra, discrete mathematics and foundations.
