Homecoming and Family Weekend
The entire Iona community is invited to join the festivities for the annual Homecoming and Family Weekend, October 20-22. More than “just” a football game that brings alumni back to campus, Homecoming weekend provides faculty, staff and administration a time to reconnect with former students, as well as an opportunity to introduce your family members to the Iona community.
A highlight for all to enjoy is the second annual Community Fair Expo and Food Tasting. This “Taste of New Rochelle,” is presented in part with the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, Liberty Mutual, New Rochelle Toyota, Nelnet and Jostens. “This year promises to be bigger and better than last, as we have a number of local businesses and restaurants ready to showcase their wares to the Iona community,” said Larry Estevez ’05MA, Alumni Relations.
With an expected attendance of over 3,000 people, the Office of Alumni Relations and Special Events knew it needed to offer a variety of activities. “From the President’s reception for parents in the art gallery and Identity Theft Seminar to the family-friendly carnival and memorial Mass, Homecoming offers something for everyone,” Estevez said.
