Iona College Hosts Community Health Fair and Blood
Drive
New Rochelle, NY, March 22, 2001 - Iona College will host a Community
Health Fair and Blood Drive in Mulcahy Center on the New Rochelle campus,
715 North Avenue, on Tuesday, April 10, 2001 from 10 am to 3 pm
Sponsored by the Iona College Health Services and Sound Shore Medical
Center, which will supervise the blood drive, the Fair will feature a
variety of health screenings, information and resources for the entire
family, including information on cancer prevention, smoking cessation,
CPR, nutrition, heart health, mental health, sports and fitness, fire
safety and more.
Included among the free screenings will be height, weight and blood
pressure, diabetes, vision and hearing, body fat analysis and massage
therapy, as well as blood glucose screenings. There will be raffles held
throughout the entire event and many giveaways to attendees. Popcorn,
face painting and other fun-filled activities will be available for children.
The Health Fair is designed to be educational and enjoyable, while providing
the information and resources necessary to foster a lifetime of good
health. Admission is free and the public is invited.
