New Rochelle, NY, September 21, 2000 - Professor Paul O'Connell, JD, of the College's Criminal Justice Department, has been awarded a Business of Government grant from Pricewatershouse Coopers Endowment. This $15,000 personal grant is intended to fund his research into police management. The proposed study is entitled Managing for Results: The Diffusion and Proliferation of the CompStat Model of Police Management.

Expected to be a seven-month project, it will culminate in a final written report to be widely circulated across the United States and abroad. The grant is described in detail at endowment.pwcglobal.com.
