Iona President James A. Liguori, CFC, to be Honored
by the Institute of Applied Human Dynamics
New Rochelle, NY, October 20, 2000 - President James A. Liguori, CFC,
will be honored by the Institute of Applied Human Dynamics (I.A.H.D.)
- St. Jude Habilitation Institute at their 12th Annual Corporate Recognition
Breakfast 2000 on Tuesday, October 24 at the Westchester Marriott Hotel.
Brother Liguori will be recognized for his commitment to the needs of
developmentally disabled children and adults. He was a unanimous choice
of their Selection Committee and their Board.
According to Richard P. Biondi, chairman, Leadership Committee, and
director of Community Affairs at Verizon, "The Leadership Committee
of I.A.H.D. - St. Jude Habilitation Institute and its members are thrilled
to recognize the outstanding commitment and leadership that both Brother
Liguori and Iona College have maintained over the years, in promoting
and understanding an appreciation of the developmentally disabled community."
I. A. H. D. - St. Jude Habilitation Institute was established in 1967
and provides therapeutic services and adaptive environments for persons
with severe and profound multiple disabilities and their families, enabling
them to reach their fullest potential and to remain with their families
or within their communities.
Additional honorees include Salvatore Campofranco, senior vice president,
Reckson Associates Realty Corporation; Alan T. Cunningham, president
(retired), Transamerica Life Insurance Company of New York; and Dennis
Swanson, president and general manager, WNBC.
