Dr. Jeffrey Alstete of Iona's Hagan School of Business
Selected as FIPSE Reviewer
New Rochelle, NY, March 5, 2002 - Dr. Jeffrey Alstete, associate dean
in the Hagan School of Business at Iona College has been selected by
the staff at the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education
(FIPSE) to read applications for the Comprehensive Program preliminary
proposal review site to be held at Fordham University in New York City
on March 26-27, 2002.
The Comprehensive Program is FIPSE's central grant competition and serves
as the primary vehicle through which FIPSE fulfills its statutory mandate
to improve the quality of post-secondary education and to increase access
to post-secondary opportunities. Evaluation and dissemination of FIPSE-supported
projects are major FIPSE priorities, with the purposes of finding out
what works, sharing valuable information, and encouraging the adaptation
of proven programs.
