Marketing Students and Professors Awarded $7,000
from Direct Marketing Day Foundation
New Rochelle, NY, August 28, 2002 - Iona College received $7,000 from
the Direct Marketing Day Foundation for student scholarships and teaching
resources. The grant will provide partial scholarships for students enrolled
in Iona's Marketing 406 course, "Current Issues in Marketing;" funding
for students attending workshops or seminars; and teaching resources
related to direct and interactive marketing.
The marketing program at Iona is part of the Hagan School of Business,
which is accredited by the AASCSB - The Association to Advance Collegiate
Schools of Business - the premier accrediting agency for business schools
in the United States and abroad. Iona is among thirty percent of the
nation's business schools with AASCSB accreditation. Bachelors of Business
Administration degrees are also offered in accounting, business administration,
finance, information and decision technology management, international
business, and management.
Founded in 1940 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Iona College
is a private, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition
of American Catholic higher education. Iona offers undergraduate degrees
in liberal arts, science, and business administration, as well as Master
of Arts, Master of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees
