Jazz on the Lawn September 26
An Outdoor Performance with the Johnny Morris Orchestra
New Rochelle, NY, August 29, 2002 - The Iona College Council on the
Arts will present Dixieland Jazz on the Lawn with the Johnny Morris Orchestra
on Thursday, September 26 at 11 am on the steps of Cornelia Hall (in
case of rain: Spellman Cafeteria), 715 North Avenue in New Rochelle.
This event is free and open to the public.
Johnny Morris, who grew up in Eastchester, NY, is known as one of New
York's most talented musicians. His music career spans 25 years and during
that time he has performed and recorded with drummer Buddy Rich and has
done arrangements for Rich, Lionel Hampton, Tito Puente, Stan Getz and
Kai Winding. Morris has also appeared on numerous television shows, including
the Today Show and The Joe Franklin Show.
