Third Eye Blind to Perform May 1

Tickets on Sale March 24

New Rochelle, NY, March 20, 2003 - Iona will host a Third Eye Blind concert at 9 pm on Thursday, May 1 in the Mulcahy Campus Events Center, located at 715 North Ave. Tickets will go on sale March 24 at 9 am and are $20 for Iona students with ID and $25 for the general public. To purchase tickets or for further information call 633-2360.

Third Eye Blind made their self-titled album debut in 1997 and hit multi-platinum success with the songs "Semi-Charmed Life", "Graduate", "How's It Going to Be", and "Jumper". The band won a Billboard Music Award for Best Modern Rock Track ("Semi-Charmed Life") in December 1997. Third Eye Blind also received two American Music Award nominations for Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist and Favorite Alternative Artist in January 1999.

Third Eye Blind's second album, Blue, featuring "Never Let You Go", was released in November 1999. The band's third album, Out of the Vein, is scheduled for a May 13 release. Formed in 1993 out of San Francisco, Third Eye Blind features Stephen Jenkins on vocals, Kevin Cadogan on guitar, Arion Salazar on bass, and Brad Hargraves on drums.
