Vince Farrell to be Honored at 42nd Annual Iona College Trustee Dinner Dance April 25

New Rochelle, NY, March 26, 2003 - Iona College will honor Vincent D. Farrell, Jr. '72MBA at the 42nd Annual Trustee Dinner Dance on April 25 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Farrell is currently chairmain of Victory Capital Management, headquartered in Cleveland with $65 billion in assets under management and Victory SBSF Capital Management, based in New York with $5 billion in assets under management.

Farrell regularly appears as a guest host on the cable network CNBC's morning business show, Squawk Box and as a guest speaker on their evening show, Market Wrap. He is also a frequent guest on CNN's Lou Dobbs Money Line and Money Morning shows and a contributor to Fox Cable News and both Bloomberg Television and Radio. Named to Time magazine's Board of Economic Advisors in 1999, Farrell is a guest lecturer throughout the country for a number of securities firms.

"Vince Farrell has incredible character, and he has always given back. We are so please he has accepted this honor by the College and our Trustees," said Rich Petriccione, vice president for Advancement and External Affairs.

Prior to joining Victory SBSF in 1982, Farrell was vice president of sales for nine years at Smith Barney, Inc. He was also a director of Swiss Army Brands Company Inc.; HealthPlan Services; New Market Venture Capital Company; Garnet Resources Corp.; The NOEL Group, Inc.; American Gold Corp.; and, the Exxel Packaging Company.

Farrell is actively involved with the Westchester Putnam Special Olympics/Association of Mentally Retarded Citizens. In 1998 he was named to the Hall of Fame at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY and he also taught history at the Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle, NY. Farrell has a bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University and a master's in business administration from the Hagan School of Business at Iona. He and his wife, Clotilde, reside in Katonah, NY and have four children.

Founded in 1940 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Iona College is a private, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of American Catholic higher education. Iona offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, science, and business administration, as well as Master of Arts, Master of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees and numerous post-graduate certificate programs.
