Iona College and the American Jewish Committee Present Passion Plays: History, Analysis, and Contemporary Significance
New Rochelle, NY - Iona College and the Westchester Chapter of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) will present Passion Plays: History, Analysis, and Contemporary Significance Wednesday, March 3 at 7:30 pm in Spellman Hall on Iona's main campus, located at 715 North Ave. in New Rochelle. David Elcott, PhD, US director of Interreligious Affairs for the AJC, and Lawrence Frizzell, PhD, director of the Institute for Judaeo-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University, will lead this examination of the development of passion plays and the various perspectives of Jesus' death they provide. This event, part of the Driscoll Professorship in Jewish-Catholic Studies Shared Roots Series, is free and open to the public. Call (914) 637-2744 for additional event information.
